Matchstick is in active early-stage development. This project was initiated on September 25, 2025, and is currently less than two weeks old. This privacy policy is preliminary and will be substantially updated as the platform evolves.

Website Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) to understand how visitors use our site. This collects:

We do not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
Waitlist & Newsletter
If you sign up for our waitlist or newsletter, we collect:
- Email address
- Any information you voluntarily provide in forms
This data is stored securely and used only to communicate about Matchstick updates.
CLI and Trading Software
When using the Matchstick CLI and trading engine:
- We do not collect or store your trading data
- We do not collect or store your API keys or credentials
- All trading activity occurs directly between your machine and your chosen exchange
- No user data is transmitted to Matchstick servers during trading operations
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Send project updates and announcements to newsletter subscribers
- Improve the Matchstick website and user experience
- Understand which features and content are most valuable
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- When required by law
- With service providers who help us operate (email delivery, analytics)
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Secure data transmission (HTTPS)
- Limited data collection
- Privacy-focused third-party services
However, no system is perfectly secure. Use Matchstick at your own risk.

Third-Party Services
Matchstick integrates with:
- Plausible Analytics: Privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant analytics
- Cloudflare: Hosting and edge functions (for waitlist forms)
- Email service providers: For newsletter delivery (provider TBD)
Each service has its own privacy policy.
Local Data Storage
The Matchstick CLI may store configuration and trading data locally on your machine. You are responsible for securing your local environment.
Changes to This Policy
As Matchstick evolves, this privacy policy will be updated. We will notify newsletter subscribers of significant changes.
